This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in Long Term Sales and Purchases (PTL) organization, Bulk Marketing (PT), Power Services (P). A successful candidate in the Account Specialist (Public Utilities Specialist) position will develop and administer complex contracts and providing rate case testimony for the sale of BPA products and services and the purchase of products from other providers.
Key Responsibilities
As an Account Specialist (Public Utilities Specialist), you will: Draft complex contract related correspondence, and communicates to the back office contract management and administration in a standardized procedure established by that back office. Coordinate stakeholder reviews of draft and final contract actions.
Work with Account Executives (AE) to achieve a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market, operating, and financial conditions, competitive forces, alternative supply options, transmission requirements and options, resource/load characteristics, and other factors in order to establish and maintain a mutually beneficial and sustained business relationship with customers.
Work with the senior transmission policy expert in the application of Transmission Services (TS) and other transmission provider Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and business practices. Track the development of market policies and procedures CAISO (California Independent System Operator), WECC (Western Electricity Coordinating Council), WSPP (Western Systems Power Pool), NWPP (Northwest Power Pool) throughout WECC that impact BPA commercial marketing.
Develop and presents rate case, workshop materials and testimony on specified acquisition issues in BPA rate cases.
