This position is located in the DEA, Financial Management Division (FC), Office of Resource Management (FR), Controls and Coordination Section (FRB), Funds Control Unit (FRBF). This position(s) primary purpose is to execute and manage DEA's budgetary resources.
As a your typical work assignments may include: Creates higher-level budgetary documents in the Financial System (UFMS) to execute OMB approved apportionments and reapportionments. Reviews and compares current to historical obligation data for abnormal trends and patterns to determine if adjustments to Program Office or operating plans are necessary.
Ensures compliance with legislation and regulations, compiling operating budget actual execution data, monitoring/analyzing obligation/expenditure status of direct funds, monitoring/analyzing assigned DEA accounts, and completing management control reviews. Prepares the annual ONDCP attestation report and supporting schedules and submits to FRBF Chief for review and CFO signature. Liaises with ONDCP and DOJ OIG throughout the entire process.
