As an Accountant, at the full performance you will perform the following duties: Identifies, considers, and resolves a variety of financial-related issues, questions, and problems related to the agency financial management program.
Serves as a secondary communicator with colleagues, agency management and other contacts internal & external to the agency to gather, analyze, and compile financial data to provide financial advisory services and to convey financial in a variety of written forms such as cost, budget, and ad-hoc reports Provides advice to program managers, analyzes, and interprets accounting data and reports and performs financial analysis, forecasts, monitoring and evaluations of progress.
Based on results, collaborates, and advises management on methods to increase control over expenditures, collections, and internal controls of processes Coordinates and ensures timely collection and review of data for periodic reporting requirements Provides technical assistance in the development of procedural manuals, methods, and directives Providing training to team members on audit and remediation processes.
