NIST is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assess the accuracy and appropriateness of vendor invoices within the Accounts Payable group of the Financial Operations Division. This position is responsible for the secure management and archiving of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and for providing critical financial oversight through Annual Undelivered Order (UDO) reviews and internal and external audits.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will utilize your knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Prompt Payment Act, and Federal Travel Regulations. The Candidate will be responsible for: Preparing and distributing assigned reports. Reviewing purchase orders and contracts to process payments while actively resolving any issues that may arise.
Performing final reconciliations consistently and accurately in accordance with established procedures and deadlines. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver organizational projects. Applying analytical and evaluation techniques to review accounting data in alignment with accounting principles.
This position allows applicants to qualify with education. Transcripts must be submitted to validate that the education requirement has been met. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. However, an official copy will be required before a final offer of employment. Use of foreign education for qualifications. An accredited organization must evaluate education completed outside of the U.S.
