This position is located in the Office of Chief Nuclear Reactor Inspector, R1 Division of Reactor Projects, and R4 Division of Reactor Projects. The supervisor will be determined based on Projects Branch to which selectee is assigned. This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is not subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will serve as the principal administrative assistant to one or more branch chiefs of the Division of Operating Reactor Safety, performing the full range of administrative duties. Such duties include but are not limited to: Prepares letters, memoranda and reports in final form from drafts, entering them into ADAMS.
Reviews and proofreads outgoing correspondence, reports, memoranda, etc., for grammatical errors, completeness, and conformance with the format, style and appearance required by the NRC, office or division procedures. Coordinates handling of controlled correspondence and action items and maintains up-to-date paper and electronic filing systems. Retrieves and screens incoming telephone calls and visitors.
Coordinates the submission of time and labor input within assigned branches, ensuring all payroll units are completed and certified within established timeframes. When needed, may be required to enter and/or correct time for branch employees. Maintains appointment calendars for assigned resident offices, branch chiefs and division. Coordinates arrangements for meetings/conferences and prepares the site office for visits by Commissioners and NRC senior management.
Allocates and maintains office supplies and inventory of NRC property, including office keys. Periodically conducts safe inventory to identify and dispose of outdated material in accordance with established safeguards guidelines.
