The International Joint Commission assists the governments of the United States and Canada in preventing and resolving water and environmental disputes under the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty. IJC is an independent organization and not a part of the Executive Branch. The mission of the IJC is to prevent and resolve disputes between the United States of America and Canada under the 1909 Boundary Water Treaty and to pursue the common good of both countries as an independent and objective advisor.
Advises senior management on travel, procurement, budget, finances, human resources and overall administration and management of the office.
