Job Summary

Join the Indian Health Service as an administrative officer at the Great Plains Area Regional Drug Dependency Unit in Winnebago, NE. Lead and oversee administrative operations, including financial, personnel, property, procurement, and facility management, to support quality care and services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Major Duties

Manages and coordinates administrative operations, including financial management, budget preparation and execution, personnel administration, property management, acquisition and procurement, contract administration, and facility management. Develops and maintains administrative policies and procedures, ensuring administrative programs and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and program requirements. Performs supervisory functions, including planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, addressing employees' and staffing needs, recommending personnel actions, and identifying training and development needs. Analyzes and interprets operational and program data and provides advice and recommendations to leadership to support program and management decisions. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tribal organizations and other government entities. Participates as a member of the facility leadership team and may exercise delegated authority and perform duties as acting chief executive officer when needed. Prior to the appointment, candidates must present two valid forms of identification. If one of the documents is a state-issued ID or driver's license, it must be REAL ID-compliant.

Education
