The Administrative Support Assistant (OA) is located in the Nursing Service, at the Amarillo VA Health Care System, Amarillo, Texas. The employee performs duties in support of the Associate Director Patient Care Service/Nurse Executive, Inpatient Service Chief, Outpatient Service Chief, Community Living Service Chief, Nurse Managers, Nursing Officers of the Day and Supervisor Administrative Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Major Duties: Serves in an Administrative support role to the Associate Director of Patient Services/Nurse Executive, Chief of Inpatient Services, Chief of Community Living Service, Chief of Outpatient Services and Supervisory AO. Performs difficult duties using knowledge of complex matters, knowledge of polices and procedures. Timekeeping for Nursing Service Develops new policy statements and reviews for compliance and accuracy.
Receives and reviews regulations, directives and memoranda on administrative functions. Oversees a variety of administrative programs. Performs budget oversight for nursing contracts. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for Ad-hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
