The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (Certified Nurse Practitioner) for an Intermittent position with Spinal Cord Injury Service in Dallas, TX.
An intermittent staff APN position is available in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) unit in the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) in Dallas, TX. This position is fully in-person. Core responsibilities include the following: Provides comprehensive medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to patients in the SCI department. Conducts diagnostic evaluations and pharmacotherapy.
Manages individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to pain management, mood and anxiety disorders, physical limitations and Spinal Cord Injuries in the Veteran population. Serves as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary SCI team. Supervises and teaches other health care professional trainees such as APN residents.

The post-master's certificate or master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner must be fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission On Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
