VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Birmingham VA Healthcare System is currently recruiting for Supervisory Advanced Practice Nurse Program Manager for their Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP). The incumbent provides general and beneficial supervision for BHIP staff and participates in the performance appraisal process for all directly supervised clinical, support and administrative staff. Incumbent completes the following duties: Establishes and communicates performance expectations and guidelines through the formal performance management system. Sets and monitors productivity targets for supervised staff. Observes and evaluates employee performance, including FPPE/OPPE requirements. Manages clinic profiles, ensuring appropriate availability, bookability, utilization, scheduling, and productivity. Monitors and reports relevant data from BHIP and provider management dashboards. Provides regular informal feedback and completes formal performance evaluations. Coordinates performance reviews with Discipline Leads for staff outside of Social Work. Addresses informal complaints and grievances, develops work improvement plans, and recommends personnel actions as needed. Exercises supervisory authority in work assignment and workload distribution. Oversees administrative and personnel management activities for supervised staff. Contributes to performance measure monitoring, quality improvement efforts, accreditation reviews, and site visits. Guides and oversees BHIP service delivery, determining staffing needs and assignments in collaboration with treatment teams to optimize skill utilization. Assists in directing key clinical, training, and administrative operations of the BHIP team. Provides oversight of administrative and programmatic resources for the multidisciplinary team delivering complex, integrated mental health services.
