The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Aircraft Mechanic Training Leader performing both on-the-job (OJT) training and classroom instruction over three or more military and/or civilian Federal Wage System (FWS) workers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serves as a training instructor, providing instruction to semi-skilled/intermediate, journey, and higher-level students in aircraft mechanical work. Lower skilled workers are trained for development to the journey level. 2. Establishes training schedules; revises or coordinates instructor and course schedules based on host unit production requirements and instructor availability. 3.
Recommends revisions to maintenance course training materials and revises daily lesson plans. 4. Utilizes and provides training in safety practices and procedures, to include maintaining a safe and clean work environment, following established safety rules and regulations. 5. Documents, files, and maintains records of trainee progress and training program.
This position is with Air Education and Training Command, Department of the Air Force.
