This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Air Reserve Technician (ART) section supervisor exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work in an integrated environment as well as to train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein. Position functions as the Reserve Work Center Supervisor (a secondary position supporting an assigned Active Duty or Civilian Work Center Supervisor). DUTIES: 1. Performs work planning responsibilities. Performs work direction responsibilities. 2. Performs administration responsibilities. 3. Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas. 5. Prepares effective training plans to maximize Reserve training.
