THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT SURVIVAL FLIGHT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1729000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard.
As a AIRCRAFT SURVIVAL FLIGHT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER - TITLE 32, WG-4818-10, you will ensure all life support equipment meets strict airworthiness criteria and will sustain combat operations/readiness. Inspect, test, calibrate, certify, evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, replace, assemble, and disassemble aircrew life support equipment, aircrew chemical/biological defense equipment, and aircraft ejection/non-ejection systems.
Clear Red X symbols on aircraft forms, aircraft/aircrew electronic communications equipment, and aircraft-oxygen related systems. Utilize complex state of the art diagnostic testers/systems/specialty tools to ensure systems are calibrated to Technical Orders and factory specifications. Conduct in-depth and quality control inspections to diagnose the nature and extent of equipment malfunction.
Ensure material and equipment are properly stored, protected, and maintained IAW with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations. Conduct classroom and technical instruction for all pilots, aircrew, passengers on systems and equipment. Incorporate Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) field instruction for pilots/aircrew members into all survival training. Plan, organize, develop, direct, implement, evaluate, and conduct SERE Training activities.
Utilize, maintain, and update computer main frame programs/data bases to analyze, troubleshoot, schedule, and maintain inspection and accountability reports/documentation on all aircrew/aircraft life support and aircrew chemical-biological defense equipment. Maintain equipment management, control, accountability, supply accounts, supply tracking logs, and funding accounts. Order, maintain, and distribute Technical Orders.
Inventory, inspect, and monitor Precision Maintenance Equipment Laboratory equipment. Maintain certification for handling, shipping, storing, and ordering multiple hazardous materials. Perform other duties as assigned.
