Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Del Rio Sector, Law Enforcement Operational Programs, located in Del Rio, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
You will support agency informational and messaging media production projects including program oversight for all facets of media productions projects to include audio, video, photography, graphic design, and management of operations. This position starts at a salary of $89,508.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10). As an Audiovisual Production Specialist, typical duties include: Directing video productions in a large sector to include designing sets and lighting, conceiving visuals, selecting music and sound effects, selecting and directing cameras and movement during taping, editing video tapings, etc. Providing assistance in script preparation, creating electronic graphics to enhance presentation, edit videotapes for roll in and review, evaluate and edit finished programs. Creating and maintaining existing database of video imagery used for distribution as B-Roll to media outlets. Providing technical assistance and/or training to staff in a large sector in using the audio/visual equipment.
