Job Summary

The US Attorney's Office Northern District of Alabama is hiring a video editor and creator to create powerful content across video, social media and emerging platforms. Major Duties

The US Attorney's Office Northern District of Alabama is looking for a video editor and creator to support the district's mission of representing the interests of the United States in litigation and community affairs. This new position will create powerful content across video, social media and emerging platforms, building the digital influence of the district. If selected for this position, you will: Collaborate with Executive Assistant United States Attorney and the district Public Information Officer on strategic communication plan, and from that plan, develop content that can be deployed to: Social Media - The role requires understanding the different audience and tone of each of our social media channels, craft posts that inform and engage our followers, and drive them to our website(s) Long-form Content - Content such as profiles, Q & As, and news stories, will be featured on the district website and pitched to other entities, news and communications outlets when appropriate. Additionally, support social media monitoring and engagement by performing periodic sweeps of social media platforms to monitor district mentions and interaction; ensuring adherence to district, Department of Justice and industry wide standards and best practices. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Education

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
