This position is located at the Division of Administrative Services, Business Office, Blackfeet Service Unit, Indian Health Service, Browning, MT. This position reports to the Business Office Manager or designee. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Perform accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to third party payers, intermediaries and responsible parties according to established procedures. Maintenance and control of unbilled claims, including assigned section of patient receivables. Correct errors for all rejected/suspended claims. Submit daily billing productivity report. Verify all control functions are maintained daily; notify all claims deemed unbillable, document activity performed on patient accounts in the patient financial folder.
