As a Biologist, you will serve as a Florida Air Force Partnership Biologist at either Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida; or Avon Park Air Force Range, Avon Park, Florida.
This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment expecting to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of four years, or more based on any changes to regulations governing the number of years term appointments may last, without further competition at management's discretion.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Oversees and implements long-term conservation actions and daily field work for listed species. Works with partners to improve the status of federally listed species. Works with Department of War and cooperating partners to promote conservation and recovery and meet the needs of the military mission.
Implements large-scale management plans, such as the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan.
