Job Summary

This vacancy is for a WG - 4717-10,Boat Builder (Repair) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION FACILITY BOSTON in BOSTON, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities

You will serve as a Boat Builder (Repair) and be responsible for constructing and repairing fiberglass, and plywood hulls of small craft and vessels.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Fitts replacement planks, ribs, keelson, deadwood and keel. Repairs decks and topsides. Replaces canvas and molding. Installs deadlights, metal or wood coatings, and marine hardware.

Constructs cradles to fit hulls May serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team which will travel Temporary Addition Duty (TAD) to natural disasters.

Requirements & Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement. Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
