This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally. This position starts at a salary of $109,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $142,199.00 (GS-13, Step 10). As a Border Patrol Agent (Sector Programs), you will serve as a secondary administrative law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C. 8331 (6C) and 8412 (d) and be responsible for: Preparing and analyzing sensitive internal reports and presentations on operations, budgeting, programs, critical incidents, and personnel.
Collaborating with Border Patrol Headquarters to develop objectives, plans, policies, and procedures for operational effectiveness. Reviewing program data and metrics; recommend and implement best practices to improve operations. Supporting mission-specific projects, including enforcement operations, intelligence collection, training, technology, personnel, and communications.
Applying law enforcement knowledge to develop systems and processes supporting the Border Patrol mission.
