About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Eagle Lanes Bowling Center on Dover Air Force Base. As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.
The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain bowling facility equipment. Regular and Recurring Duties and Responsibilities: Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, and lane maintenance machines. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment referring to manuals for diagrams and specifications. Follows manufacturer's maintenance schedules but makes changes as necessary. Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. Cleans and lubricates machines. Measures and regulates sweep of rakes on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges. Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pinsetting accuracy. Conditions, maintains, and repairs bowling pins and lanes. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters using wood and plastic lane stock, and sanding and recoating surfaces. Maintains required records and reports; initiates requests for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment; performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces. Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit.
