This position is located in Office of Chief Human Capital Office (OCHCO), Division of Facilities and Security (DFS), Security Management Operations Branch (SMOB). The supervisor is Susan Abraham. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will perform the full range of Branch Chief duties. Such duties include but are not limited to: Provides oversight of the NRC Facility Security Program at Headquarters and regional offices to ensure protection of NRC facilities, personnel, and both classified and Controlled Unclassified Information in accordance with applicable laws, Executive Orders, MDs, and federal directives.
Manages related systems and programs, including the Insider Threat Program, Operations Security, the Occupant Emergency Program, badging and access controls, facility physical security plans, and agency-wide security awareness activities.
Serves as the authoritative expert for implementing Intelligence Community physical security directives, conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, coordinates incident reporting and corrective action tracking, and ensures alignment with SEAD-3 foreign travel reporting requirements. Provides oversight of policy, technical issues, and day-to-day operations related to physical and facility security at the NRC.
Manages staff and operations at Headquarters, the Technical Training Center (TTC), and the regions.
