This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Division of Budget, Budget Operations Branch. The supervisor is Fred Miller. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will perform the full range of duties as a GG15 Branch Chief. As the Budget Operations Branch Chief in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide leadership, direction, and oversight of the agency's budget formulation and execution activities.
You will develop and implement agency-wide budget policies and procedures, coordinate the preparation and submission of the NRC's Performance Budget to senior agency leadership, the Chairman, the Commission, OMB, and Congress, and oversee financial analyses and other budget-related deliverables in accordance with established guidance.
You will manage, supervise, and coordinate Branch staff, ensuring employees understand organizational objectives, assignments, and priorities established by the agency's strategic, operating, and performance plans; establish expectations, oversee workload and schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
You will also address policy, financial, and administrative issues; lead organizational change; and coordinate Division activities and emerging priorities to ensure work is accomplished effectively and consistent with the agency's mission, values, and strategic objectives.
