This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as lead Information Technology (IT) budget analyst performing a wide variety of financial functions involving the formulation, justification, execution and analysis of the Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) budget for IT and Capital.

This position is being filled under Direct-Hire Auth (Certain DoW Personnel), PL 118-31, Sec 1250B(i)(2), 12/22/2023 As a BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serving as subject matter expert on the TWCF and other appropriations providing advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information for information technology and capital programs.
Interpreting and assessing the impact of new and revised Congressional legislation on the formulation and execution of budgets. Providing financial advice on budget related matters for substantive national programs such as effects of budgetary changes on related activities and information technology programs, status and use of working capital funds. Advising senior management on the status and availability of funds, and the use of appropriate funding.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
