This position is part of the War Media Agency. The incumbent will be responsible to the development and preparation of the budget estimates and the annual operating program goals for five years and beyond the current budget year.
As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-9 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA), primary point of-contact for the Defense Travel System (DTS), and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in analyzing and administering the DTS for WMA headquarters, components, and worldwide subordinate unit personnel.
You will serve as the liaison between the traveler and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) for voucher payment issues. You will liaise between the traveler and the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) for technical-related system issues. You will be responsible for the administration of Centralized Billing Accounts (CBAs).
You will serve as the travel funds administrator and have control and oversight of travel lines of accounting (LOAs), budget, funds, and collection of debt. You will analyze credit card reports and problems, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions for reconciling discrepancies.

Foreign education may be qualifying if a private organization specializing in interpreting foreign education programs has deemed the foreign education equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program or a U.S.
accredited college or university has given full credit for the foreign courses. Unofficial transcripts from U.S. Department of Education accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions listing your name, the name of the school, the date and degree awarded, and the list of classes and credits earned are acceptable for the application process. If selected, official transcripts are required before a firm job offer is made.
A photocopy of your degree/diploma is not acceptable. When relying on foreign education, submit transcripts and a copy of the equivalency evaluation results letter with a course-by-course listing.
