This position is part of theDefense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Budget Analyst responsible for performing the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of the highly complex Security Cooperation (SC) programs to include a one-year, two-year, and x-year (no year) accounts.
As a BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Provide support to budget engagement with external partners including the Department of State (DoS), the Military Departments (MILDEPs), and the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs). Develops recommendations to resource program manager's unplanned/unfunded requirements, funding adjustments for the successful execution of global SC programs to meet national and foreign policy objectives.
Provides insight, for the area responsible, on the development and interpretation of budgetary guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations for the agency and its various budget organizations to justify resource requirements, to determine when new or revised legislation is needed, and to research and prepare recommendations for the content of such legislation.
Provides budget and financial management recommendations for the development of SC/SA administrative funding provided to the SC Enterprise.
