The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Evaluates, reviews, and monitors the resource justifications, allocations and use for assigned program area(s) with special emphasis on conformance with the TAS's business plan and the IRS strategic plan and performance measures. Provides periodic analysis and researches of assigned program area(s) resource needs usage and key budget and financial issues. Identifies and responds to budget issues within assigned area(s). Assesses the financial impact of management decisions on budget programs within assigned area(s). Serves as the subject matter expert within the organization regarding interpreting policy as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of policy. Interprets regulatory requirements and recommends and develops procedural guidance for the assigned program. A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
