Job Summary

This position serves as a Budget Analyst in the Justice Management Division, Budget Staff, Justice Operations Management and Accountability Group or Working Capital Fund Group located in Washington, DC. The Budget Staff has principal departmental responsibility for the development and execution of Department-wide program budget operations; planning of program budget review efforts throughout the Department, performance and efficiency; and Department-wide fund controls.

Key Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-9/11/12/13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop integrated budget for major national agency programs. Enter data for Department-wide operating program into a variety of internal and external reports, forms, schedules, and electronic systems. Enter budget data into government-wide automated budget system. Prepare briefings for departmental leadership.

Prepare apportionments, allocations, operating budgets to facilitate the approval of budgetary resources. Monitors, tracks, and reports on program obligations.
