The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior expert MAJCOM Budget Analyst performing formulation and execution activities in support of HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA (U-A) and 3rd Air Force (3AF) missions and requirements. As the technical expert, develops and promulgates budget formulation and execution policies and procedures to all U-A Wings and Directorates requiring funding.
Command-level senior analyst at HQ U-A performing budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses and estimates of annual funding needs for one or more future budget years. Performs thorough budget execution work involving monitoring funding obligations, funding expenditures, and the administration and review of requests for allotment of funds for distribution to programs across U-A Wings, Directorates, and organizations at multiple locations.
Prepares budget guidance and serves as the resident expert of assigned programs. Provides comprehensive financial advice on budget related matters such as types of funding available, effects of budgetary changes on related activities, status and use of funds, etc. Analyzes budget and/or related information Uses automated budgetary and accounting systems and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments.
