Job Summary
The selectee of this position serves as a Budget Analyst responsible for advising and consulting with appropriate district, headquarters, and Department of Justice (DOJ) program managers in all phases of the federal budget cycle. This position is located in the Financial Services Division (FSD), Arlington, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare and consolidate the agency budget request and associated narrative justifications and required exhibits and performance data. Performs in-depth analysis of budget requests and funding proposals and makes recommendations to senior leaders.
Advising and consulting with organizational programs managers in all phases of the budget cycle. Identifies opportunities and recommends process improvements to the budgetary process, policies, and procedures. Prepares budget briefing materials (e.g. narrative responses, data requests, and formulation guidance).
