The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare Systems is recruiting for a Budget Analyst to function in Fiscal services. The incumbent is responsible for helping plan and execute various aspects of the budget for the Medical Center. This position is a detail/ temporary promotion not to exceed 120 days.
The Budget Analyst duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for budget formulation, budget presentation and budget execution for the Northeast Ohio VA Healthcare system. Prepares detailed analysts and estimate of the annual funding needs for one or more future budget years. Works directly with Service Chiefs and other staff members to identify areas of potential cost savings and cost avoidance.
Computes, compiles and prepares monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual budget estimates within the assigned area of responsibility identifying trends and projecting the cost to meet staffing and all other needs of the Medical Center. Reviews and coordinates requests for additional funds for project activations, reimbursable travel, special programs, etc.
Advises various services management on the actions necessary to meet end-of-year targets as actual obligations, staffing, and workload may conflict with the original budget plan and estimates. Work Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Telework: Not authorized. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
