This position is located at Treasury Office of the Inspector General, Budget and Procurement Division. As a Budget Planning and Operations Director, you will be responsible for the entire OIG budget and procurement program, focusing principally on budget formulation, presentation, and execution, and long-range planning and forecasting .
Key Responsibilities
As a Budget Planning and Operations Director, you will: Serves as the senior technical authority on matters of budgetary policy, law, and regulation for the OIG. Exercises responsibility for assuring compliance with all governing laws and regulations (such as the Anti-Deficiency Act).
Develops and recommends internal budget policies to the Assistant Inspector General for Management.(AIGM) Identifies, develops, and recommends new funding and budgeting concepts and methodologies for new or changed OIG priorities and programs as directed through legislation, new regulations, or by Inspector General (IG) direction. Exercises overall responsibility for formulation and execution of the OIG budget.
Analyzes the budgetary implications of new or revised OIG substantive programs, proposed and/or enacted legislation and regulations, and changes in the Department's, OMBs, or Congressional policies, philosophies, or procedures. Exercises responsibility for contracting, procurement, and purchasing throughout the OIG. Provides technical and administrative supervision over subordinate staff. Assigns work, sets priorities, and establishes time frames for completion of work.
Develops performance standards and evaluates the work performance for subordinates. Provides advice and instructions to employees on work and administrative matters.

The posted pay range is $169279 – $197200/yr.
