The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the budget analyst responsible for the overall budget, costs, spending and management of resources for programs and appropriations within the 709 Cyberspace Squadron.
DUTY 1: Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues. Manages a $20M annual budget for AFTAC's largest squadron providing cyber infrastructure to HQ AFTAC, AFTAC's continuity of operations site, eight detachments and a Naval asset. DUTY 2: Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
DUTY 3: Reviews and evaluates contract purchase requests for status of funds and appropriation, ensuring budgetary planning and reporting requirements to management are met. DUTY 4: Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds.
DUTY 5: Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
