Job Summary
This vacancy is for an Business and Industry Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.
Key Responsibilities
As an Business and Industry Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Develops policy recommendations and ensures policy decisions are grounded in reliable data and practical feasibility, performing broad scope analysis and research to provide input and recommendations for significant U.S. government policies and decisions.
Leads studies or project teams analyzing program, establishes working relationships across the organization with peers, managers and stakeholders to inform project approach and to resolve policy issues. Writes complex memorandums, talking points, notices, regulations, presents briefings, determinations, agency policy and strategies, standard operating procedures, and other materials. Represents the agency to government officials and external entities.
This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Business and Industry Specialist GS-1101-12/13, FPL GS-13 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
