Key Responsibilities

As a(n) Child Care Program Specialist, you will: Develop program guidance, special reports related to oversight and accountability, and guidelines concerning the ongoing operations of the CCDF program. Provide technical policy guidance on child care programs at the federal, state, territory, tribal, or local level.

Identify and explore alternatives, outline options, and prepare comprehensive recommendations to ensure the development and implementation of effective child care programs. Prepare and deliver oral briefings or presentations on child care issues and concerns, as appropriate, to other staff, supervisors, higher-level officials, and outside organizations.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
