The following are the duties of this position at the GS-5. You will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this developmental position. Utilizes available computer software (including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics) in preparing memoranda, letters, reports, charts, forms and other material from rough drafts, oral instructions and handwritten notes.
Serves as a consultant and reference source to other clerks in answering questions encountered in their work. Also serves as consultant to supervisor of the unit. Prepares transmittals of approved tax refund claims to Financial Management Division (FMD) for processing.
Education Requirements: The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.
