Responsible for the professional and administrative management of an assigned area within pharmacy service, including budgetary execution. Such individuals have responsibilities for supervising multiple pharmacists and technicians.
Manages people, maintains effective interdepartmental relations, and cooperates with other services to accomplish the medical facility's mission and goals. Develops performance standards, ensures the program area is compliant with all regulatory and accrediting body requirements, designs and implements orientation and training programs for staff, and develops and maintains systems to monitor the performance of staff activities.
Develops policies and procedures related to their assigned area. Manages the daily operations of the assigned pharmacy program and fulfills patient care duties of a pharmacist when necessary. Responds to patient and staff feedback to ensure program area remains efficient and effective. Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays. Primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional coverage of the 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
