Job Summary

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations will allow you to provide command control, communications, and coordination of activities for a safe and secure environment for all protectees and protected facilities. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

Key Responsibilities

The selectee will serve as a Communication Operations Specialist in the Office of Field Operations. Typical work assignments include: Communicating with emergency personnel and law enforcement through nationwide computer networks and multi-frequency communication console units to aid in the protective assignments and criminal investigations of the office.

Developing written communication such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), criminal surveillance reports, or incident logs, and utilizing sound judgement in routing pertinent information efficiently to the appropriate personnel Maintaining office security by reviewing surveillance equipment, monitoring authorized personnel, responding to security breaches including building exits, alarms, and access points, and responding to emergency situations.

Requirements & Education
