Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Veterans. Perform comprehensive assessments; plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care. Administer medications and procedures following VA policies and safety standards. Promote Veteran autonomy, dignity, satisfaction, and wellbeing. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other team members. Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and performance initiatives.
Provide leadership appropriate to grade level-mentoring, delegating, or assuming charge responsibilities. Document care accurately, ensuring alignment with MDS/RUG requirements in collaboration with the MDS Coordinator. Maintain strict adherence to privacy, security, and patient safety protocols.
