The primary purpose of this position is: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), to serve as the Lead Europe Enterprise Service Center (EU-ESC) Air Force Sensitive Compartmented Information (AFSCI) Systems Security Engineer responsible for assessing Information Technology capabilities supporting enterprise development and operations for security worthiness and risk mitigation.
DUTY 1: Provide broad range of computer engineering analyses entailing unique problems, creativity innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies in the secure design of current and future information technology architectures and standards supporting the 1 ACOS EU-ESC AFSCI mission. DUTY 2: Utilizes scientific inquiry to evaluate the security of and advocate for EU-ESC AFSCI initiatives via corporate processes to adhere to Intelligence Community (IC) standards and direction. DUTY 3: Directs and/or participate as a subject matter authority in various advisory committees, technical review boards, and/or other meetings related to area of expertise. DUTY 4: Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency DUTY 5: Attends DoD and agency conference and meetings that bring together national-level and enterprise users to ensure integration information is obtained, disseminated and integration issues are resolved.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. Shift work may be required, which may include overtime and/or irregular hours. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. Travel may include overnight stays. Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position. Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoDM 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position.
