You will serve as a Concessions Management Specialist with theNational Park Service, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Evaluates visitor services to ensure that services are provided in accordance with contract provisions and Park Service regulations. Ensures reporting provisions of contracts are met. Reviews existing and proposed commercial services rates and services to provide recommendations to park management.
Reviews applicable laws, regulations, policies, guidelines, and contract language in order to develop an understanding of the regulatory framework guiding the management of the Commercial Service Program. Communicates relevant policy and procedural information to commercial service providers and park personnel.
Investigates complaints received in letters regarding concession operations and services, prepares replies and takes appropriate action with field areas to correct problems. Leads or contributes to comprehensive planning efforts to provide appropriate services through concession contracts and CUAs, including developing professional prospectuses, detailed contracts, and risk and environmental management programs aligned with park goals.
Tracks concessioner franchise fee payments to ensure payments are in accordance with contract provisions. Ensures appropriate collection methods are initiated. Works with the Commercial Services Team in maintaining close contact with key NPS staff (e.g., maintenance, interpretation) to ensure collaboration between the Commercial Service Program and other park divisions.

The posted pay range is $101206 – $131571/yr.
