Serves under the Project Administrator and is assigned direct responsibility for certain sections of the Technical Design Guidelines (TDG) and other responsibilities including but not limited to Division 1 (general requirements) aspects of the design-build contracts, equipment requirements (i.e., Medical Food Service, Laundry, etc.), and the AutoCAD support for the Design and Construction Branch.
Assists in the review and coordination of all other technical standards written and revised by the Architect and Engineers of the Technical Support Group for the accuracy, clarity and completeness. Charged with oversight of the overall construction management program including development of policies and guidelines and conducting on-site reviews of field operations, provision of technical assistance for all projects, and participation in "Post Occupancy" evaluations.
Responsible for managing the planning, organizing, coordinating and execution of the many complex tasks which will entail, including, but not limited to Technical Design Guidelines, Quality Assurance, writing and coordination of construction documents and specifications, and Construction Management. Initiates and manages task orders as they relate to assignments and coordinates with outside consultants in architectural and professional engineering design activities.
Serves as the subject matter expert for constructability issues.
