Job Summary

This vacancy is for a Contract Specialist (Innovation Coach) in the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Commerce, specifically within the Office of Acquisition Management in The LAB.

Key Responsibilities

As a Contract Specialist (Innovation Coach), you will perform the following duties: Serve as an innovation coach to acquisition teams by advising and training them on the use of innovative procurement approaches during the market research, solicitation, evaluation, award, and post-award phases of complex requirements and contracts.

Support the organizational learning culture by collecting and sharing outcomes of the innovative acquisition approaches tested by procurement teams and developing and delivering training in a variety of settings and platforms.

Support the facilitation and implementation of innovative acquisition and program management techniques to streamline acquisition life cycle, including all aspects of the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO), policies, procedures, best practices, and resolving complex contract problems. Developing new acquisition concepts, practices and procedures required to take advantage of regulation changes while focusing on promoting efficiency and effectiveness in the acquisition system.

This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Contract Specialist (Innovation Coach) ZA-1102-4, FPL IV positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

You MUST provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation with a course by course listing along with your application.
