About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Shaw AFB Youth Center.
Prepares and serves meals and snacks to meet CACFP and Air Fonn Requirements. Using a full range of quantity cooking procedures from USDA recipes and menus, prepares such foods as meats, vegetables, fresh fruit, casseroles and bakes goods. Uses the Food Buying Guide to ensure sufficient foods are prepared for all meals, snacks, and special activities. Assists in purchasing and ordering food at the commissary and from vendors.
Prepares daily food report of all foods prepared for each meal and snack and submits report to School Age Coordinator. Serves meal to each activity room in a timely manner according to the schedule supplied by Coordinator or designee. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen as requires by Military Public Health standards. Attends training and staff meetings. Prepares food for parent activities, special activities and weekly food projects.
