Key Responsibilities
Central Inmate Monitoring (CIM) Program arranges for and coordinates the special handling of inmates assigned to the program. Nature of the Central Inmate Monitoring Program is one of secrecy and extreme sensitivity. One must work across organizational lines, not only within the Bureau of Prisons, but with the Department of Justice, State and local officials as well. Manages a WITSEC caseload in the Inmate Monitoring Section of the Bureau of Prisons Central Office.
Responsible for designates places of confinement for all inmates authorized into the Witness Security Program, including pre-trial and newly sentenced prisoners as well as those who have either been returned to custody. Responsible for overall policy interpretation, maintenance and review for all CIM WITSEC issues. Serves as the Central Office subject matter expert on CIM classification issues, forms preparation, clearance requirements, and case management philosophy.
