Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations, Investigations Branch, Temporary promotion for 2 years with 1-year extensions possible for a max of 5 years. May be terminated earlier based on management discretion. Resumes must be no more than 2-pages in length. Duty location will be at a current OIG Regional or Field Office upon selection.
The salary for this position will be adjusted based on the duty location.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to: Performing sensitive high-level investigations as the direction of OI management. Providing program and policy direction necessary to accomplish all investigative work requirements, and to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and OI policies and procedures. Identifying, planning, directing, coordinating and conducting extensive internal and external training and outreach relative to program areas and investigative activities.
Developing and assisting in the management of new initiatives and makes recommendations to the scope of OI efforts to be expended on the project. Conducting a wide range of special studies, research and analysis relative to issues of special concern to OI and prepares and presents briefings on these subjects. Representing OI at conferences, meetings, seminars, etc.
of high-level officials of the Department, other government agencies, professional organizations, Federal, State and local government where matters represented potentially affect OI programs and require authoritative representation.
