As a Custodial Worker you will be responsible for providing janitorial services to university facilities, offices, and buildings. As a Custodial Worker WG-3566-2, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision: Performs comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, education laboratories, computer rooms, offices, hallways, dormitory/residential, and restroom facilities, etc. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies, cleans spills, cleans drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, light fixtures, etc. Empties trash cans and relines cans with liners. Sweeps, mops, steam cleans, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors. Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs. Keeps all buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas clean of all debris and litter. Ensures that appropriate and necessary levels of inventory are on hand at assigned areas, orders necessary supplies and materials, and maintains accurate records of received and distributed items.
