Job Summary
This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Debt Policy and Collections Support Division. As a Debt Collection Strategy and Performance Lead, you will serve as a senior team member in the development and implementation of government-wide debt collection programs, policies, and operations to increase the revenues of the federal government and reduce the amount of delinquent debt owed to the federal government.
Key Responsibilities
As a Debt Collection Strategy and Performance Lead, you will: Provide daily debt collection program expertise to other BFS employees, creditor agency contacts, and private collection agency contractors. Facilitate the exchange of information through correspondence, presentations, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including responding to Congressional inquiries.
Analyze financial information from various sources to make business decisions and recommendations to update practices and procedures. Represent the branch on teams to complete special projects or on workgroups, and serve as a liaison between the team, branch, and other bureau staff.
