This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel within the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Incumbent will support the Maintenance & Repair Section for the St. Paul District. Incumbent will work on several floating plan units consisting of a pipeline or dipper dredge, derrickboats and derrickscows.
Key Responsibilities
Handles rope lines and steel towing cables while making up or breaking a tow for fastening barges together when not in use and for securing floating plant. Cares for, renews, and splices rope and cable, prepares light rigging, makes rope fenders.
