Job Summary

The Loma Linda VA Clinic in Redlands CA is seeking a Oral Surgeon for Dental Services.

Key Responsibilities

VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. The duties, roles, and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Provides and reviews radiographic and oral cavity examinations for patient consultation to include work-up, admission, medical/dental specialty and inter-disciplinary care, completion of surgical procedures, and providing post-operative and follow-up care of patients of the oral and maxillofacial regions.

Performs dento-alveolar surgery, including simple surgical and complex exodontia, pre-prosthetic surgery, bone grafting, sinus, and ridge augmentation, vestibuloplasty and implant placement procedures.

Performs oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including but not limited to treatment of facial traumatic injuries/facial fractures; treatment of pathological conditions such as benign cysts/tumors, orthognathic surgery, biopsy procedures and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) surgery. Practices safety, health, and infection control standards, and demonstrating knowledge in the use and reprocessing of Reusable Medical Equipment (RME). Administer local anesthesia.

May be asked to perform other related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized.
