You will serve as a Deputy Park Superintendent with National Park Service. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the operation and management of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, agreements, and with input from various park stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: The purpose of the position is to serve as the Deputy Superintendent of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area (WHIS), located in Whiskeytown, California.
Responsibilities include plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the operation and management of WHIS in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, agreements, and with input from various park stakeholders.
Manage park budgets, staffing, and other resources to accomplish mission goals effectively including Lead and supervise park managers and staff through performance management, training, and workforce coordination Lead strategic planning, regulatory compliance, resource protection, and employee/visitor safety efforts. Build and maintain partnerships with tribes, government agencies, elected officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders

The posted pay range is $106437 – $138370/yr.
